A = 20 mm

1 Predrill holes for the sensors at the points marked by the plant on the inside of the bumper.
Processing continues from the front side of the bumper.

2 Drill the holes to dimension A. Process the cutouts for the anti-twist lock for sensors in the holes vertically upwards as per picture.
The cutouts for the anti-twist locks of the sensors may only be processed so that the sensors with anti-twist lock fit in the cutouts with zero clearance and the sensors completely cover the cutout from outside.






3 Insert sensor rings (15) from outside into the holes in the bumper. Engage anti-twist lock in the processed cutout and hold in this position under pressure.






4 Mount springs on sensor sleeves from the inside of the bumper (1) and press on sensor until the retaining lugs engage.
5 Connect numbered connectors of the wiring harness of sensors (2) to sensors (4).
6 Route wiring harness of sensors (2) in the bumper (1) and fix in position free of chafing and noise using the cable ties included in the parts kit.






7 Remove rubber plug through the right-hand opening (see arrow) in rear, route plug of wiring harness of sensors (3) from outside through the opening in the luggage compartment and seal opening with the cable grommet (8) attached to the wiring harness of sensors (2).
8 Install bumper.
Do not damage wiring harness of sensors (2) by crushing or getting caught in moving parts.
The plug of wiring harness of sensors (3) is contacted later on with the connector of the wiring harness of the power supply.
