AR82.70-P-8916P Remove/Install Handset on Center Console
- with CODE (853) MB standard cellular telephone
- except CODE (352a) COMAND operating and display system







1 Remove cover on center console
2 Remove glove compartment
3 Unscrew mounting screws (10) from dome edge on center console

NOTE: The number and position differs depending on the vehicle equipment.

4 Unclip dome edge from side of glove compartment and remove
5 Disconnect handset transmitter/receiver connector (X39/5) and antenna connection (17)

NOTE: Connector is located in center console in area of heater or air conditioning control panel.

6 Remove telephone handset (A34) from handset holder (5)

NOTE: For this purpose, press release button on both sides of handset holder.

7 Unclip handset holder cover (6)
8 Unscrew 4 screws (4) from handset holder (5) and remove handset holder (5) together with mounting plate (7)
9 Unclip adapter lead (9) from telephone edge (12) and remove

NOTE: The release is on the bottom of the CTEL handset connector (A34x1).

10 Install in the reverse order
