Triggering Alarm Alarm By Anti-Towing Sensor

The anti-towing sensor (TS) function monitors positional changes in the parked vehicle caused e.g. by an attempt to tow the vehicle away.

Function prerequisites
An alarm by the TS can only be triggered if
- The anti-theft alarm (ATA) and the TS are activated and
- The TS function has not been switched off

NOTE: If the trunk lid is opened by remote trunk release (RTR). no alarm is triggered by the TS as long as the trunk lid is open.

Function Sequence
Several times a second the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) polls the input to which the ATA inclination sensor (B33) is connected. If the ATA inclination sensor (B33) detects a position change in the vehicle, the alarm is transmitted to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) initiates a visual a1id acoustic alarm.

NOTE: The TS function can trigger an alarm no more than three times in succession. After this the ATA must be reactivated in order for this function to operate.
