Deactivating Anti-Theft Alarm

The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is deactivated by:
- Unlocking the vehicle with the transmitter key (ASH)
- Inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the electronic ignition / starter switch control module (N73)

Disarming
On transmission of the signal for "global unlocking" or "selective unlocking", or detection of a valid key in the electronic ignition / starter switch control module (N73), the ATA is disarmed and any triggered alarm is canceled. The siren is also disarmed at the same time.

(NL) only:
The alarm signal siren with auxiliary battery (H3/1) emits acoustic feedback in the form of one short buzz when the ATA has been deactivated.

Disarming remote trunk lid release
The remote trunk lid release function only partially disarms the ATA. The trunk lid rotary tumbler microswitch (S17/8), the TS sensor and the IMS sensor are excluded as alarm criteria. The rest of the ATA remains armed.

Re-arming on remote trunk lid release
Depending on the locking function of the trunk lid after remote trunk lid release, the ATA is either fully disarmed or the interior motion and anti-towing sensors are restored to the status prior to remote trunk lid release.

NOTE: Deactivation of the ATA cancels any previously triggered alarm.
