Activate Anti-Them Alarm System
Activate Anti-theft Alarm System Function Shown On Model 203.0
Function requirements:
- Key removed (circuit 15C off)
- Driver door closed
The anti-theft alarm (ATA[EDW]) is activated as follows:
- By locking the vehicle with the transmitter key (A8/1)
- By the automatic re-locking function
- Automatically (only (B): When the transmitter key (A8/1) is removed and the driver door opened and closed, the ATA[EDW] will automatically activate two minutes after the last door is closed. This occurs independently of how the vehicle is locked.
Arming the ATA[EDW]
The remote control "Close" command arms the ATA[EDW] as follows:
The states of all alarm inputs are cyclically polled (t = 500 ms). If 20 consecutive polls (t = approx. 10s) each indicate that an input is idle, that input is then armed. Alarm inputs which later switch to the idle state are also armed after a further 20 polls.
Arming the interior motion sensor (IMS[IRS])
The interior motion sensor is armed with a delay (t = 10s) after the closing of the last door or the trunk lid; the engine hood may be open. After the IMS[IRS] is armed, its status is polled by the overhead control panel (OCP[DBE]). The interior motion sensor alarm input is only enabled if the sensor responds to the status poll with OK.The rest of the ATA[EDW] is fully functional even when the IMS is not connected.
NOTE: In models 203.2, 203.7 the interior motion sensor also activates the glass breakage sensors and interprets their data.
Arming the anti-towing sensor
The anti-towing sensor is activated after (t = 10s) being "armed ".If one or more doors or the trunk lid is open1 the sensor is activated after (t = 10s) the last door (trunk lid, engine hood) is closed.
Arming alarm signal horn
The alarm signal horn with additional battery (H3/1) is operational when the ATA[EDW] system is switched on (armed). Two different arming commands are used to set the horn. When the alarm signal horn with additional battery (H3/1) is armed, it is cyclically signaled by the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) (hold signal).
NOTE:
- The ATA[EDW] is not activated when the driver's door is open.
- Activation of the ATA[EDW] cancels any previously triggered alarm.
- If the ATA[EDW] was active before being disconnected from its power supply, it will be automatically reactivated upon reconnection to the power supply.
- The IMS[IRS] and TS[AS] can be switched off independently of one another.
Feedback after successful activation
When the ATA[EDW] is active, the overhead control panel control module (N72/1) flashes the function indicator LED in the TS[AS]/IMS[IRS] switch with ATA[EDW] function display (N72/1s7) once per second.
only (NL):
The alarm signal horn with additional battery (H3/1) emits acoustic feedback in the form of three short buzzes when the ATA[EDW] has been successfully activated. If one door is not properly closed during ATA[EDW] activation, no feedback will be given.
