Test 4: Test Internal Resistance of Component M16/7 (Recirculating Air Flap Actuator)

Test internal resistance of component M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator)

Test prerequisites
- The throttle flap of component M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator) should operate freely and must not stick or rub.
- At least one of the relevant actual values is not okay.

Test sequence
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove component M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator).
- Detach the socket at the component M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator).

Actual value potentiometer 1
- (M16/7) 6<-->2 (M16/7)
- Slowly operate throttle flap by hand up to full load.

Specified values
- Recirculated air flap Status: OPEN [ca. 524]
- Recirculated air flap Status: CLOSED [ca. 1536]

Actual value potentiometer 2
- (M16/7) 5<-->2 (M16/7)
- Slowly operate throttle flap by hand up to full load.

Specified values
- Recirculated air flap Status: OPEN [ca. 1476]
- Recirculated air flap Status: CLOSED [ca. 627]

Question: Are the measured values okay?

No
- The measured values are not o.k.
Possible cause and remedy
- M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator)

Yes
- The measured values are o.k.
Further possible causes of fault
- Leads to component M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator)
- Test voltage supply of the potentiometers of component M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator).
