H. Final Assembly and Function Test

1. Reinstall the trunk mat.

2. Program the telephone per S-SI-82.70/136, Timeport Portable Telephone Programming.

3. Verify proper CD changer, telephone, and voice activation (as applicable to the equipment installed) operation per the following checklist:

CD changer

^ Disk 1-6 load and unload properly

^ Magazine load and eject operate smoothly

^ CD sliding door opens and closes properly

^ Audio is clear and crisp

^ First and last track on the selected CD can be accessed

Telephone

^ Handset dialing is functioning

^ Head unit dialing is functioning

^ Handset incoming and outgoing call audio is clear

^ Hands-free incoming and outgoing audio is clear

^ Automatic memory download is functioning (It may be necessary to store a test number in the telephone handset for this feature to operate; stored numbers should be available for dialing from the head unit after automatic download.)

Voice recognition

^ Verify that the VRM can be controlled via the PTT steering column lever

^ Verify the high recognition rate of voice instructions

^ Verify the VRM control of the telephone
