Removing And Installing Front And Rear Rubber Bushings In Rear Axle Mount







DANGER:
- Risk of fatal accident if vehicle slips off of lifting platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.


CAUTION: Installation: Replace self-locking nuts and bolts

1A Remove install front rubber bushing in rear axle mount
1B Remove, install rear rubber bushing in rear axle mount
1C Front rear axle mounting bolt

CAUTION: Installation Recut thread on frame floor using tap

1D Rear rear axle mounting bolt

CAUTION: Installation Recut thread on frame floor using tap

36 Detach both frame cross struts
105 Remove, install exhaust system as from flange connection
105c Exhaust heat shield
106 Detach rear section of driveshaft from final-drive unit at joint flange

NOTE:
- Flexible coupling remains on driveshaft
- Lay driveshaft on cross-brace.

106a Driveshaft intermediate bearing

NOTE: Installation: Tighten flexible coupling on rear axle center assembly before tightening bolts of driveshaft intermediate bearing.

106c Driveshaft clamping nut
- Applies only to Model 202 up to approximately 10/95

115 Fuel pump assembly
140 Fuel pump assembly cover
X36/3 Disconnect, connect 2-pin fuel pump harness connector

NOTE: Location of plug-in connection in luggage compartment.
