AR35.20-P-0115B Remove/Install Wheel Carrier



Remove/install Wheel Carrier


Version Up To 12/97 Or 01/98:




Version Up To 12/98 Or 02/98:






CAUTION: Installation: Replace self-locking nuts and bolts

DANGER:
- Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer


CAUTION:
- Installation: Install camber strut, tension arm, torque strut, track rod and spring link at wheel carrier
- The rear axle shaft must be horizontal when tightening the nuts.


NOTE: Removing and installing brake shoes of parking brake

2 Camber strut

2H Sleeve in wheel carrier to reduce diameter
3 Torque strut

3H Sleeve in wheel carrier to reduce diameter
4 Remove/install track rod
5 Torque strut

5h Sleeve in wheel carrier to reduce diameter
- Install sleeve for torque strut in wheel carrier

6 Spring link
7 Wheel carrier

- Remove front rear axle shaft

12 Remove/install and secure rear axle shaft twelve-point collared nut

37 Remove/install
- Pull out of rear axle shaft flange
- If the rear axle shaft is difficult to remove. Push rear axle shaft out of rear axle shaft flange, pull in.

Remove/install rear brake control cable

112c Brake caliper dust shield
L6/3, L6/4 Remove/install left or right rear axle speed sensor
