AR33.20-P-0510B Remove/Install Lower Control Arm

Removing And Installing Lower Wishbone

Illustrations Shown Model 202:

1 Remove front wheel
2 Remove front spring
3 Remove torsion bar fixing bracket (22b)
4 Unscrew nut from supporting joint
5 Screw thrust piece (044a) onto the ball pivot of the supporting joint
6 Using puller (044), press supporting joint out of steering knuckle

NOTE: Clean tapered connection, if necessary

7 Remove shock absorber (11) from wishbone
8 Remove lower wishbone from frame floor

NOTE:
- Model 170: Remove lower engine compartment lining
- Installation: Tighten nuts in the ready-to drive condition.
- Installation: Install repair bolts If repair bolts are already installed, observe installed position and install bolts in the same position again.

9 Unscrew supporting joint nut on wishbone
10 Screw thrust piece onto the ball pivot of the supporting joint
11 Using puller, press supporting joint out of lower wishbone

NOTE: Clean tapered connection, if necessary

12 Check wishbone for distortion and corrosion
13 Install in reverse order
14 Perform chassis alignment check

CAUTION: Tighten nuts in ready-to-drive condition
