AR01.10-P-4190A Remove/Install Carrier of Power Steering Pump



Removing And Installing Carrier Of Power Steering Pump
- without CODE (580) & (581A) Air Conditioning







1 Remove fan shroud
2 Unbolt power steering pump (45)

NOTE: Place to the side with oil lines connected.

3 Unbolt strut (59) at crankcase
- Engines with plastic intake manifold

4 Detach crankcase ventilation line (6) at carrier of power steering pump
5 Unbolt throttle control (79)
- If cruise control code 440 fitted with PEC, HFM-SFI injection system

6 Unbolt bracket (46b)
7 Unbolt bracket (47)
- On engines with aluminium intake manifold

8 Unbolt carrier of power steering pump (49)

CAUTION: Installation: clean sealing surfaces.

- Replace shaped rubber gasket (50). Align power steering pump carrier (49) to timing case cover to gap size "A" = 5 mm before tightening bolts to enable power steering pump (49) to be installed.

9 Install in the reverse order

DANGER:
- Risk of accident as a result of vehicle starting off when engine running. Risk of injury as a result of bruises and burns if you insert your hands into engine when it is being started or when it is running.
- Secure vehicle to prevent it starting off.
- Wear closed and dose-fitting work clothes.
- Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.


10 Run engine and inspect for leaks.
