Drain Coolant, Fill

Shown On Model 202:






Lowering

DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray, Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.
- Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.
- Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.


1 Open expansion reservoir or cooling system closing cover (2)

NOTE:
- Closing cover with detent: Rotate cover carefully up to first detent, release pressure relief, then unscrew closing cover.
- 2-stage and 1-stage closing covers: Rotate cover half a revolution counterclockwise, release pressure relief, then unscrew closing cover.

2 Drain coolant at radiator or crankcase

NOTE:
- Model 163: For draining coolant, remove coolant hose at the bottom of radiator or at coolant pump.
- Collect coolant
- Disposal of coolants: observe legal regulations or local waste water requirements!
- Refer to Environmental Protection Catalog issued by MBVD/PWU for locations in Germany.

3 Tighten drain plugs at radiator or crankcase

NOTE: Discharge fitting to crankcase.

4 Pour in coolant

NOTE: See notes on coolant level.

5 Bleed cooling system
6 Inspect cooling system for leaks.
