Removing And Installing ETS/ASR/ESP Hydraulic Unit

DANGER:
- Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with brake fluid
- Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

1 Switch off ignition
2 Clean top of traction systems hydraulic unit (A7/3) near the hydraulic lines
3 Unscrew hydraulic lines from traction systems hydraulic unit (A7/3)

CAUTION:
- Risk of confusion! Mark hydraulic lines and corresponding connections before unscrewing.
- Seal off hydraulic lines and connections with plugs.
- Installation: Pay attention to the markings when screwing on the hydraulic lines. Do not misconnect hydraulic lines. Trace line routing to the corresponding wheel if necessary.


4 Unplug connector (A7/3x1) from traction systems hydraulic unit

CAUTION: Unclip connector at the bottom on both sides, fold upwards and disconnect.

5 Pull out traction systems hydraulic unit (A7/3) upwards, carefully pushing the hydraulic lines to one side

NOTE: Installation: Check seating and condition of rubber grommets and replace if necessary.

6 Unscrew bracket (13a) from traction systems hydraulic unit
7 Unscrew control module (N47) from traction systems hydraulic unit and pull off carefully
8 Install in the reverse order

NOTE: Rinse off any brake fluid spilt on or around the frame side member with water.

9 Bleed brake system
10 Read fault memory and erase
11 Activate steering angle sensor
