Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

Removing and Installing Intake Manifold







Removal
1. Disconnect ground cable at the battery
2. Remove fuel rail with injection valves, Service and Repair
3. Remove idle speed control actuator (ISC).
4. Disconnect all vacuum lines and electrical wiring
5. Unclip bracket of engine wiring harness
6. Unplug connectors of crankshaft position sensor and knock sensor
7. Disconnect circuit 50 at the starter
8. Loosen nuts and bolts (19/1) and remove intake manifold (19)

Installation
Install in reverse sequence, noting the following:
- Tighten intake manifold bolts to cylinder head to: 20 Nm





- Connect all vacuum lines and electrical wiring
- Check idle. adjust
- Check seal (19/3), replace if necessary
- Check and adjust idle speed, Powertrain Management
