C. Installing Handset and Cradle

1. Open the center console storage compartment lid and peel back the carpeting from the front rise of the box (Figure 4).

2. Remove the harness access cover by cutting the tabs of the pre-punched opening.

3. Pull out the RJ-45 connector and coaxial cable.

4. Fold the carpeting down again.

5. Mount the cradle to the bracket with four M4 x 8 screws (Figure 5).

6. Mount the coil-cord strain relief to the right side of the cradle with a # 8 x 1/2-in. Phillips sheet metal screw and place the coaxial cable into the bracket slot (Figure 6).

7. Slide the RJ-45 connector into the handset mounting bracket (Figure 7).

8. Connect the coil-cord RJ-45 and coaxial cable to the vehicle harness (Figure 8).

9. Using the bracket as a locator, slit the carpet covering the insertion slot and then insert the mounting bracket tab into the groove in the front of the storage box.

10. Secure the bracket back edge to the console floor with one M5 x 12 tapping screw (Figure 9).

11. Proceed to:

^ Section D if installing the CD changer.

^ Section E if not installing the CD changer.
