Removal and Replacement



Replacing Centering Sleeve







1 Remove propeller shaft
2 Mark flexible disks (12,12a) relative to two-arm or four-arm flange and detach

NOTE: Installation: Check flexible disk for damage and replace if necessary

CAUTION: Replace self-locking nuts

3 Loosen fitted sleeves of flexible disks
4 Detach vibration damper (20) from front propeller shaft

NOTE: Installation: Fit vibration damper and propeller shaft as per the applied marking

5 Mark vibration damper relative to rear propeller shaft and detach

NOTE: Installation. Fit vibration damper as marked

6 Separate front and rear propellor shaft at clamped joint or slide

NOTE: Installation: Smear splined shaft profile with Molykote grease

7 Check centering sleeve in front and rear propellor shaft

NOTE: If the sealing lip in the centering sleeve (10) is worn or damaged, the centering sleeve can be replaced individually.

8 Remove centering sleeve (10)
- If necessary after checking

NOTE: Installation: press in centering sleeve (press-in distance of centering sleeve)

9 Pack cavities in the two centering sleeves with grease
10 Install in reverse order
