NOTE:
^ The support joints (7c) are maintenance-free, i.e. they are provided with lifetime lubrication
^ For this reason, support joints must be inspected carefully
^ If dirt enters through a damaged boot (7f), this will lead to premature wear of the support joint

- Attach lever compression tool (090) tool No.129 589 06 21 00 as close as possible to the supporting joint (arrow)
- Raise and lower control arm (4) with lever compression tool (090)
- Get an assistant to feel the supporting joint for any play (a)
- The supporting joint must be replaced if play is found

NOTE: This test can only be conducted over a pit or lifting platform with approach ramps
