Alternator Pulley / Clutch: Service and Repair

Remove/Install Generator Belt Pulley












Remove/Install
1 Remove generator
2 Unscrew collar nut (1)

NOTE: To hold generator shaft (2), insert screwdriver bit through double hexagon wrench (4).

- Shorten double hexagon wrench for removal of belt pulley
- Collar nut to poly V-belt pulley = 80 Nm

3 Remove ribbed V-belt pulley (3)

NOTE: when replacing alternators after mileages in excess of 100.000 km, at the same time also replace the poly V-belt pulley (3).

4 Install in the reverse order
