Task
Sealing off air admission of activated charcoal filter

Design/function
The electromagnetic shutoff valve is actuated at the GND end by the ME-SFI control module for the leak check of the fuel system.

If an actuation fault exists (valve does not open) a safety valve in the activated charcoal filter valve (Y58/4) performs the task of air admission of the activated charcoal filter and of the fuel tank (from about -25 mbar).
