Side Nozzles

The left and right side nozzles provide for specific guidance and distribution of the air at the sides of the vehicle passenger compartment.

With the side nozzles (1) the air can be adjusted upwards, downward, to the left or right as desired with the adjustable louvers (2).

The side nozzles (1) can be opened and closed electro-pneumatically with the adjustment dials (arrows). Potentiometers are attached to the adjustment dials (arrows).
Feedback potentiometers are located in the vacuum elements for the side nozzle flaps. These feedback potentiometers indicate the momentary flap position to the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module.
The side nozzles are opened when vacuum is not present.
