Center Nozzle

The center nozzle provides for specific guidance and distribution of the air in the upper area of the front vehicle passenger compartment.

The center nozzle (1) can be opened and closed electro-pneumatically with the knurled dial (3). A potentiometer is attached to the knurled dial (3).
The vacuum element for the center nozzle contains a feedback potentiometer. This feedback potentiometer indicates the momentary flap position to the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module.
The center nozzle is closed when vacuum is not present.

The air flow direction can be adjusted upward, downward, to the left, right or to the center as desired with two separately adjustable louvers (2).

When the center nozzle is opened in the heating mode it is possible to switch over to warm air with the "warm "(W) button and to fresh air or cool air with the "cold" (K) button


NOTE: The interior air temperature sensor is affected when the center nozzle (1) is opened and the louvers (2) adjusted so that the air flows up.
