Parking Brake Pedal: Description and Operation

Task
Hold the parking brake pedal (75) in the compressed position and reduce the lost motion

Function
A drum (1) is cast in the brake pedal (75) and this drum (1) is enveloped by a preloaded flat spiral spring (2).

The preload is provided by a spring.

If the brake pedal (75) is depressed, the friction force of the flat spiral spring (2) holds the brake pedal (75) continuously

When pressed, the familiar parking brake noise is reproduced by teeth (3) and a ratchet (4).
