Removal, Installation & Adjustment of Limit Switch, Cloth Holding Brace Up

Preliminary jobs:
Remove occasional seats [1][2]Procedures or baggage shelf. Service and Repair
Remove side panelling at left rear.

Removal





Top move to position A with top switch or manual actuation
Screw (1) screw out of cable guide
Plug connector (S84/6x) disconnect
Top move to position B
Ignition switch off
Cloth holding brace press in direction "closed" until screws (2) can be reached with screwdriver
Screws (2) screw out
Limit switch (S84/6) remove together with cable

Installation
Install in opposite order

NOTE: Lay limit switch cable along flexible hydraulic lines

Adjustment
Connect multimeter to plug connector (S84/6x). Set multimeter to continuity test (acoustic signal).
Adjust limit switch (S84/6) by moving in oblong holes.
Limit switch (S84/6) should switch approx. 100 mm before reaching the uppermost position of the cloth holding brace.
