Remove/Install Front Seat Head Restraints

Side covering on backrest frame removed. [1][2]Procedures
Cover on upper belt guide fitting removed.






Screw (1)
unscrew, 5 Nm.

Head restraint adjustment
allow to run down.

Head restraint (2)
pull upward out of adjustable holder.

Head restraint (2)
remove from backrest frame housing by turning.

Cover (3)
disassemble (2 catch hooks) and remove individual parts on head restraint.

Reinstall in opposite order.


Removal, Installation





1 Unscrew screw (arrow).





2 Allow head restraint adjustment mechanism to run down.





3 Remove head restraint upward out of holder, turn and remove from backrest frame housing.









Cover (slider) for head restraint shaft disassembled.

4 Disassemble cover (slider) and remove.





5 Insert head restraint and cover into mount on adjustment mechanism and fasten with screw.
Tightening torque: 5 Nm.
6 Continue to reinstall in opposite order.
