Adjustment Mechanism For Head Restraint Upper Belt Guide Fitting

Head restraint on front seat removed. Remove/Install Front Seat Head Restraints






Screw (1)
unscrew, 25 Nm

Screws (arrows) (2 each)
unscrew, 35 Nm

Adjustment mechanism (2)
remove upward while pulling out of drive shaft

Adjustment mechanism (2)
insert into drive shaft and fasten with screw (arrows) 35 Nm

Removal, Installation





1 Unscrew screws (arrows).





2 Remove adjustment mechanism upward while pulling the drive out of the drive shaft (arrow).





3 Insert adjustment mechanism into drive shaft and screw onto backrest frame with screws (2 each).Tightening torque: 35 Nm.
Installation note
The screws for the adjustment mechanism are micro-encapsulated. They must be replaced after disassembly or coated with screw securing agent.
Continue to reinstall in opposite order.
