Checking Pneumatic Distributor In The Rear For Leaks




Version 1 up to 08/95

Preparing test







1 Open cover (e) for rear luggage compartment.







2 Remove housing (g) for rear luggage compartment (10 screws, arrows)







3 Remove covering (h) and expose distributor with 8 connections (19).







4 Lever off pneumatic lines from distributor plug with open-end wrench (width between flats 7).







5 Seal the 7 connections on the pneumatic distributor with sealing elements (Part no. 124 805 02 44).
6 Connect tester to connector number 8 on the pneumatic distributor with adapter (Part no. 129 805 00 44).





Test

Version 2 as of 09/95







1 Expose distributor (19) in rear compartment on right.
2 Transfer letters on distributor (19) to the individual pneumatic lines.
3 Separate pneumatic lines on distributor (19).


NOTE: The outputs on the distributor are marked with letters. The letters indicate the element to which the pneumatic line leads.
A.-> Output plugged
B.-> Spectacles compartment element
C.-> Left rear luggage compartment element
D.-> Cassette compartment element
E.-> Center stowage compartment element
F.-> Right rear luggage compartment element


4 Plug 5 connections with plug caps, part no. 000 987 11 45.
5 Connect tester to connection 7 on distributor (19) with rubber connector, part no. 007 997 61 82.
6 After testing reconnect the pneumatic lines to the distributor (19) with rubber connectors, part no. 007 997 61 82.
