MAP-Supported Location Finding

General
Map-supported location finding (map matching) is available only in the digitized area of the CD-ROM map.

By comparing the calculated position of the vehicle with the possible positions on the CD-ROM map, deviations can be recognized and corrected automatically.

Function
The position of the vehicle is continuously followed on the CD-ROM map by the navigation processor. Upon deviation of the route driven from the possible paths, the position coordinates for basic location finding are corrected where applicable.
