Function of Gear Change
FUNCTION- Every gear change is triggered by the Electronic Transmission Control (ETC) module. A control block is assigned to each shift process. This includes an overlap regulating valve, a holding pressure shift valve, a shift pressure shift valve, a command valve and an electromagnetically operated switchover valve (upshift/downshift solenoid valve).
- A change over is made from steady-state operation to the shift phase once the solenoid valve is actuated. After the gear change the solenoid valves are no longer operated as the individual gears in steady-state operation are subject to a self-holding function.
