Replace Rear Damper Valves

REMOVAL

WARNING:
^ Risk of injury to the eyes and other parts of the body due to hydraulic oil spraying out under high pressure
^ Wear protective clothing and safety glasses

NOTE: Refer to general notes for working on vehicles with level control/Adaptive Damping System (ADS). Technician Safety Information

1. Empty pressure oil system. Emptying And Filling Pressure Oil System
2. Disconnect pressure lines at the damper valves (Y53, Y54)
3. Remove damper valve at holder
4. Disconnect electrical connector

INSTALLATION
- Reverse procedure to install, tighten the following components as noted:
- ADS pressure line at damper valve (reference value)
- 16 x 1.5 mm: 30 Nm
- 18 x 1.5 mm: 44 Nm
- Self-locking bolt at left damper valve on bracket: 24 Nm
- Self-locking nut of right damper valve on bracket: 14 Nm
