Rear Hydraulic Suspension Pressure Accumulator, Removal And Installation


Model Series 140:




Model Series 202, 208:




Model Series 210.0:




Model Series 210.2, 210.6:




Model 203.2:






DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.
- Render the hydraulic system pressureless before commencing work on system. Wear protective clothing and eye protection.


1 Drain hydraulic system

NOTE: Installation: Recharge hydraulic system

CAUTION: General notes for working on vehicles with level control / ADS

2 Disconnect pressure lines (S1, P4) from spring actuator
3 Remove the exhaust system from the brackets mounted on the floorpan and attach it to a hook to prevent it from tilting

NOTE: When removing hydraulic suspension pressure accumulator on left side

4 Remove paneling in trunk on left

NOTE: When removing hydraulic suspension pressure accumulator on left side

5 Remove spare tire cover

NOTE: Remove hydraulic suspension pressure accumulator by extracting through the luggage compartment

6 Remove both rearwheelhousing liners
7 Unscrew self-locking nuts (4f) and remove hydraulic suspension pressure accumulator (4)

NOTE: Model Series 202, 208: Remove leftside hydraulic suspension pressure accumulator through the luggage compartment.

8 Remove covers for left and right-side storage compartments
9 Remove bracket for on-board tool kit

CAUTION: Protect luggage compartment against dirt

NOTE:
- Model Series 203.2: Remove left and right-side hydraulic suspension pressure accumulators through the luggage compartment.
- Mount rubber spacer (arrow) on both hydraulic suspension pressure accumulators
- Model Series 202, 208: Install rubber spacer (arrow) on left hydraulic suspension pressure accumulator.

10 Reverse the removal sequence to install

NOTE: Installation: Replace self-locking nuts.

DANGER:
- Drilling into gas-filled assemblies and components represents a potential injury hazard (the gas itself is not flammable)
- Wear safety glasses and face mask.


11 Dispose of hydraulic suspension pressure accumulator through approved channels.
