Prerequisites For Testing Alternator







Removing, installing
1.1 Fold right luggage compartment cover up - Model 202 sedan,208.
1.2 Remove cargo space cover - Model 202 T-model.

Testing
2 Check the alternator fuse (G2) in the connector terminal 30 (X12/3) and replace if necessary

NOTE: Only in vehicles as of 8.99 (except with engine 112).

Replace: The entire connector terminal 30 (X12/3) must be replaced.

3 Check electrical line terminal 30 to the following items for firm seat and flawless condition
- Battery (G1/+)
- Connector terminal 30 left footwell (X4)
- Connector terminal 30 (X12/3)
- Alternator (G2/B+)

4 Check electrical line terminal 31 to the following items for firm seat and flawless condition
- Battery (G1/-)
- Battery ground (W10)
- Ground strap between engine and body

5 Check ribbed V-belt tension
6 Check function of the charge indicator lamp in the instrument cluster

Position of ignition/glow start switch
- Charge indicator lamp Off - 0/1
- Charge indicator lamp On - 2

7 Install in the reverse order
