Remove And Install Generator
Shown On Engine 104:
Remove, Install
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
CAUTION: In model 210, insulate the ground line terminal in order to protect against undesired connection between the ground line and the ground point W10.
2 Slacken poly V-belt and take it off the generator
3.1 Detach lower engine compartment paneling
NOTE: In model 202, 208 with gasoline engine only.
3.2 Remove lower sections of noise encapsulation
NOTE: In model 202 with diesel engine only.
4 Pull off contact protection (4)
5 Disconnect electrical lines (1, 2)
Only with gasoline engines.
Nut, terminal B+ to generator
For Engines 112, 113 - 18 N.m
For Engines 111, 104 - 15 N.m
Only with gasoline engines.
Nut, terminal D+ to generator
For Engines 112, 113 - 5 N.m
For Engines 111, 104 - 4 N.m
Only with diesel engines.
Nut, terminal B+ to generator: For Engines 601, 604, 605 - 15 N.m
Nut of circuit D+ to generator: For Engines 601, 604, 605 - 4 N.m
In CDI engines only.
Nut, terminal B+ to generator - 18 N.m
Nut of circuit D+ to generator - 5 N.m
6 Unscrew bolts (3)
Only with gasoline engines.
Generator Screw - 42 N.m
Only with diesel engines.
Generator Screw - 42 N.m
In CDI engines only.
Bolt, generator to timing case cover - 20 N.m
7 Take generator (G2) down and out
8 Install in the reverse order
