Removing And Installing Combination Switch
1 Disconnect ground cable at the battery
CAUTION: On model 210 insulate terminal on ground cable to prevent unintentional contact between disconnected ground cable and ground W10
2 Remove steering wheel
CAUTION: Caution when handling airbag unit Improper handling may cause damage to the airbag unit
3 Remove contact spiral
4.1 Remove cover below instrument panel (driver's side)
4.2 Remove bottom section of instrument panel (driver's side)
5 Unscrew screw (31)
6 Take out bracket (32)
7 Separate connector (S4x1)
- Take connector out of fixture and push bar (arrow)
8 Separate connector (S40x1)
- Cruise control (code 440a)
- Take connector out of fixture
9 Detach wiring
10.1 Take out casing tube cover (33) together with combination switch (S4)
- without cruise control
10.2 Take out casing tube cover (33) with combination switch (S4) and cruise control switch (S40)
- with cruise control (code 440a)
11.1 Take combination switch (S4) out of casing tube cover
- without cruise control
11.2 Take combination switch (S4) and cruise control switch (S40) out of casing tube cover
- with cruise control (code 440a)
12 Reinstall in opposite order
