Combination Support (PCV Air Admission Housing)

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

Replacement
1. On model 170, remove left charge air pipe
2. Except models with VDA power steering pump, slacken bolts attaching power steering pump belt pulley
3. On all models, remove poly V-belt. Service and Repair
4. Except models with VDA power steering pump, unbolt power steering pump belt pulley
5. On models with level control, unbolt level Control line at tandem pump
- Drain pressurized oil system, refer to Steering and Suspension.
6. On all models, Without disconnecting lines unbolt power steering pump (45) and position aside.
7. Unbolt brackets (11 and 12).
8. Unbolt strut (59) to crankcase.
9. Unplug connector of AC compressor (8)
10. On model 170, Unbolt bracket of AC compressor line at wheelhousing
- Do not detach lines
11. On all models, without disconnecting lines remove compressor and position aside.
12. Disconnect crankcase ventilation line (6) at power steering pump/AC compressor carrier
13. Unbolt power steering pump/AC compressor carrier (49 (Combination Support))
14. Install in the reverse order, noting the following:
- Clean all sealing surfaces.
- Replace shaped rubber gasket (50)
- Align A/C and power steering Pump carrier (49 (combination support)) ti timing case cover to gap size "A" 5 mm before tightening bolts to enable power steering pump (45) to be installed
- On models with level control, fill pressurized oil system

WARNING: Injury as result of bruises and burns if you insert your hands into engine when it is being started or when it is running.

- On all models, run engine and inspect for leaks
- Tighten bolts to belt pulley to: 30 Nm
- Tighten Bolts of Carrier: 25 Nm
