Disconnect/Connect Electrical Connectors at Cylinder Head

1. Unplug connector at hot film mass air flow sensor (R215).
2. Engine without supercharger, remove air cleaner crosspipe.
3. On all models, remove ignition cable duct cover.





4. Engines fitted with plastic intake manifold, unplug connectors (Tb1, Tb2) at the ignition coils (T1/1, T1/2).
5. Engines fitted with aluminium intake manifold, unplug spark plug connectors at the spark plugs.
6. On all models, remove cover of coolant thermostat housing.





7. Remove cable straps of engine wiring harness at suspension eye.
8. Unplug connector of coolant temperature sensor (B 11/4).
9. Engines fitted with camshaft adjustment: unplug connector of camshaft timing solenoid (Y49).
10. Engines fitted with camshaft adjustment, unplug connector of camshaft position sensor (L5/1).
11. Engines fitted with supercharger, unplug connector ("H") at actuator (M16/7) of air flap switchover/air cleaner.
12. Engine; fitted with supercharger, unplug connector at compressor magnetic coupling.
13. On all models, unplug connector ahead of Three Way Converter (TWC) 02 sensor (G3/2xl).
14. Reverse procedure to install.
