Opening Sliding/Pop-Up Roof With Convenience Feature
Function prerequisites
- Voltage not too low or too high
- Circuit 15 off and
- Circuit 15R off and
- Circuit 15c off
Function
The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives the request via the CAN-bus to open the root with the convenience feature and then actuates the motor for sliding/pop-up roof (M12/1). The direction in which the motor is actuated depends on whether the sliding roof or pop-up roof was open previously. If the sliding/pop-up roof is closed the sliding roof is opened. The motor is actuated until the overhead control panel control module (N70) recognizes that the sliding or pop-up roof is completely open by means of the position measurement feature.
The convenience opening feature for the sliding/pop-up roof is available only when the sliding/pop-up roof has been synchronized
Exception: When the convenience closing feature for the sliding/pop-up roof has been interrupted by the roof locking up, the overhead control panel control module (N70) moves the sliding/pop-up roof back after an opening request from the convenience feature so that the lock up can be eliminated (emergency opening).
The convenience opening feature for the sliding/pop-up roof is interrupted when
- the request is no longer received via CAN or
- the sliding/pop-up roof is locked up or
- the function prerequisites mentioned previously are no longer fulfilled.
