Version coding must be undertaken when new control modules (N32/1, N32/2, N69/1, N69/2) are connected to battery current for the first time.

Left/right front ESA control module (with memory) (N32/1, N32/2)

Model 210 Version Coding
- Seat adjustment motors AEG (Hammerstein) with head restraint preset
- Seat adjustment motors AEG (Hammerstein) without head restraint preset
- Seat adjustment motors Bosch (Brose) with head restraint preset
- Seat adjustment motors Bosch (Brose) without head restraint preset
- Steering column adjustment: active/inactive

Model 208 Version Coding
- Seat adjustment motors AEG (Hammerstein) with head restraint preset
- Seat adjustment motors AEG (Hammerstein) without head restraint preset

NOTE: The control modules (N32/1, N32/2, N69/1, N69/2) may be version coded as many times as necessary.
