Triggered Alarm
Function prerequisite
An alarm by the IMS can only be activated when
- the infrared transmitter and receiver unit (interior motion sensor) (A26/14) is activated and
- the IMS function has not been switched off.
Function
The interior motion sensor (IMS) monitors the interior of the vehicle by means of ultrasonic waves with the aid of the interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver unit (IMS) (A26/14).
The transmitter and receiver unit (IMS) signals any attempt to break into the vehicle to the PSE control module (A37) via a data bus.
The PSE control module (A37) activates an optical and acoustic alarm.
NOTE: The IMS feature can trigger a maximum of three alarms in series.
