Compressor HVAC: Application and ID
The familiar Sanden TR compressor has two spirals which rotate in one another (1, 2) with a phase difference of 180 °. The two spirals (1, 2) form completely closed chambers. By turning the spiral (1) the chambers are moved from the intake to the pressure side and the volume decreases simultaneously.
The TRC compressor is also equipped with a continuous displacement regulation feature. Compressed gas can flow from the pressure to the intake side through a compensation connection passage (5) between the pressure and intake side. The quantity flowing back is controlled by a control valve (6). The intake pressure is the control variable for regulation. It is kept constant regardless of the compressor load and speed.
