88-306 Removal And Installation Of Engine Hood Hinges







Removal, Installation
1 Mark position of engine hood hinge on wheel house in engine compartment.







2 Remove cover on fuse box, screw out mounting screws (arrows) and remove upper part of fuse box.







3 Unhook spring (6) on spring retaining bracket (12).







4 Screw off nut (16) and remove spring retaining bracket.

Installation note
Install spring retaining bracket (12) so that it points vertically downward when the engine hood hinge is in the vertical position (90°).

5 Screw off nut (13), remove engine hood hinge upward.
6 Check adjustment of engine hood, readjust, if required (88-302).
Install in opposite order.
