Replacement of Molding on Window Frame

Preliminary work:
Removal and installation of outer sealing bar. Refer to "Replacement of Sealing Bar". Service and Repair
Removal and installation of surround on rear door. Refer to "Replacement of Surround". Service and Repair
Removal and installation of door liner on rear door. Refer to "Replacement of Door Liner". Removal and Replacement






















Window runner
remove.
Lining on inner window stay
remove (Repair instructions "Adjustment of Crank Window In Rear Door").
Vapor seal (4)
partially detach from inner door panel (figure 1)
Screw (1)
unscrew from upper window stay (figure 1) while pulling out door sealing frame in the area of the stay.
Screw (2, 3 pieces)
unscrew from window stay (figure 1)
Screw (3)
detach from lower window stay (figure 1).
Window stay (1)
pull forward (figure 2).
Stationary window (2) together with rubber frame and surround (figure 2)
pull forward approx. 1 - 2 cm.
Molding (1)
remove with caulking tool (figure 3). Use special tool 116 589 07 59 00.
Molding (1, figure 4)
install, whilst starting at the top front using caulking tool. Align molding flush with window frame and surround.

Reinstall in opposite order.
