Check And Adjust Control Point For Level Control
NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.INSPECTION
1. Check and adjust vehicle level at the front and rear axle.
2. Check oil level in level control
Correct level if necessary
3. Place the measuring device (02) Tool No. 140 589 02 21 00, or equivalent, on the drive shaft
4. Using Pulling device (040) tool No. 201 589 11 31 00 and angled retainer (040f) tool No. 140 589 37 63 00, or equivalents, pull down the rear end of the vehicle to the specified control point (simulate loading condition)
ADJUSTMENT
1. Using 4 mm alignment tool (015) check through the hole (arrow) in the adjusting lever of the level controller
- When the adjustment is correct the alignment tool (015) can be pushed into the positioning hole in the level controller
2. Adjustment of connecting rod if necessary as follows:
- Loosen the adjusting device of the connecting rod (3a)
- Locate the adjusting lever of the level controller (15) through the hole (arrow) with a 4 mm alignment tool (015)
- Tighten the adjusting device of connecting rod securely in this position
SPECIFICATIONS
Control point of rear axle level control: -15 mm ± 10 mm
