Crank Engine With Starter






NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Take off cover on left DI ignition control module.
2. Pull off connector of crankshaft position sensor (L5) at DI ignition control module (N1/3).
3. Crank engine by means of ignition/starter switch (S2/1).
4. DI ignition control module (N1/3) fault memory. Refer to Powertrain Management.

NOTE: If the engine is started with the crankshaft position sensor (L5) unplugged, a fault is stored in the DI ignition control module (N1/3) fault memory (contact 17, pulse readout 17). This fault must be erased after completing work.
