CENTER CONSOLE CUP HOLDER REPLACEMENT

Center console cup holders are available separately for model 140 vehicles with the center console armrest integral storage compartment as introduced in model year 1998. In the event that a cup holder must be replaced, it is no longer necessary to replace the entire center console storage compartment. Center console storage compartments included in cup holder replacement warranty claim submissions will be denied.

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

1. Access the cup holder by lifting the lid of the center console armrest integral storage compartment.





2. Remove the four T7 Torx bolts (Figure 1).





3. Remove the two Phillips head screws from the fastening points at the corners of the cup holder base (Figure 2).





4. Release the cup holder base clips (Figure 3), by carefully rocking the cup holder back and forth while pulling upward.

5. Remove the cup holder.





6. Install the new cup holder in reverse order. Be sure the base clips are aligned and fully inserted into their securing points (Figure 4).
