Remove/Install Center Console

Preliminary work:
Cover on gearshift lever removed. Remove/Install Gearshift Lever Cover

Cover on center console removed. Remove/Install Cover on Center Console







Control unit (1) for heater and air conditioner
removed.
Insert (2)
removed.
Control cable (3) for rear compartment nozzle
unhook.
Screw (4)
Screw out (2 each).
Screw (5)
screw out (2 each, 8 mm).
Driver's and passenger seat
move forward.
Cover (6)
press off on left and right sides of tunnel.
Screw (7)
screw out, 4 each, Allen screws, WAF 6 mm. 25 Nm. When installing note different screw lengths.
Center console (9)
lift at rear, move out at front on instrument panel and remove.
When installing
thread control cable (3) for rear compartment nozzle through opening in air duct housing, observe installation note!
Continue to install in opposite order.
Function check
Perform.

Installation note







Before clipping in the control cable (3), "close" the rear compartment nozzle and pull the front control cable (8) all the way to the rear. Press the control cable (3) into the sheet metal clips (11) in this position and secure the control cable sleeve with plastic clips (10).

Removal, Installation







1 Screw out screws (arrows) on control unit. Disconnect plug connector (2 each), remove control unit.







2 Remove insert (2), screw out screw (4).







3 Unhook control cable (3) for rear compartment nozzle (arrows).







4 Remove housing shell (arrow).







5 Screw out screws (arrows) (8 mm).
6 Move driver's and passenger seat forward.
7 Remove left and right covers on drive shaft tunnel.







8 Screw out screws (arrows) on left and right sides of drive shaft tunnel.


NOTE: When installing observe different lengths of screws (screw longer screws into left side of drive shaft tunnel)!











Centre console removed

9 Lift center console at rear, move out at front on instrument panel and remove.







10 When installing route control cable for rear compartment nozzle through opening in air duct housing (arrow).

Observe installation note!

11 Continue to reinstall in opposite order.
12 Perform function check.
