Front Lock Convenience Switches (S86/1, S87/1)



Previous work:
Remove front left/right door lock


A. Removal

NOTE: Front lock convenience switches have been discontinued with introduction of drive authorization system stage 2, except (USA) (J)





Catches (a)
Press in.
Lock convenience switch (S86/1, S87/1)
Pull off of lock unit in direction of arrow.


B. Installation

NOTE: Front lock convenience switches have been discontinued with introduction of drive authorization system stage 2, except (USA) (J)





Plug lock convenience switch (S86/1, S87/1) onto lock unit
The lock springs (a) of the two lock convenience switches must snap into place in the lock gate recesses (b). It is also important to ensure that the ends of the return spring (c) of the lock (d) surround the locating lug (e) of the lock convenience switch (S86/1, S87/1).

NOTE: After installation always perform mechanical (lock return spring) and electrical (lock convenience switch) operational check.
