Detaching and Attaching Rubber Boots of Joint
Removal
1. Remove hose clip (60k, 60c) with side cutter.
2. Remove hose clip (60i, 60e) with commercially available circlip pliers (060).
3. Pull off rubber boot.

4. Wipe off grease on inside of rubber boot and pour into joint, replace grease if necessary. Observe filling quantities.
5. Push new rubber boot into correct position.
Replace hose clips (60k, 60c), observe width of hose clips.Check hose clips (60i, 60e), replace if necessary. The hose clip (60e) is identified by 0315 and hose clip (60i) by 0300.
6. Clamp hose clip (60k, 60c) with assembly pliers, ensuring that hose clip fits evenly.
7. Clamp hose clip (60i, 60e) with commercially available circlip pliers. Check correct seating of hose clip (arrow).
The connections of the hose clips of the inner joint must be offset by 180� to the outer joint to prevent any imbalance.
