Rear Bushing (Front Lower Control Arm)

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

REMOVAL

WARNING:
^ Risk of injury due to rubber mounts or bearing parts which loosen suddenly during the pressing-out/pressing-in process and then fly around in an uncontrolled manner
^ Screen the danger area by means of suitable arresting device (basket, skeleton container).
^ Also ensure that there are only authorized persons in the danger area.

1. Remove lower wishbone. Service and Repair
2. Clamp wishbone in vise use aluminum or suitable soft jaws
3. Remove front mount of lower wishbone. Front Bushing (Front Lower Control Arm)





4. Using puller/installation tool 210 589 00 43 00, components (4k) using thrust piece (012p) supporting washer (012n) and shaft (012u), or equivalent, press out outer rubber mount
- Rubber mount loosens suddenly.





5. Extract inner rubber mount (4i), using components, thrust piece (012r) supporting washer (012n) and shaft (012u) of puller/installation tool, or equivalents
- Clean mounting bores.

INSTALLATION





- Insert rubber mounts (4i, 4k) in the wishbone and insert up to the stop using components, thrust piece (012s) and clamp bolt (012f) of puller/installation tool, or equivalents








NOTE: The lugs (arrows) of the rubber mounts must be at an angle of 90�° to the welding seam of the wishbone.

- Install lower wishbone
