The current to the Speed-sensitive Power Steering (SPS) P-valve (Y10) is reduced depending on speed via the Electronic Traction System (ETS), Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR) or Electronic Stability Program (ESP) control module. This opens and the pressure oil flows on both sides of the reaction piston (4l) via the restrictors (8a, 8b).
For right steer angle the non-return valve (4m) is Depressurized. The oil flowing in under the reaction piston (4l) can flow back to the reservoir via the oven non-return valve (4m).
On the other hand the pressure oil from the right power cylinder acts on the non-return valve (4n) and is therefore closed.
The one-sided hydraulic pressurizing of the reaction piston (4l) now produces an additional force on the rotary slide via the 3-thread ball groove thread (4r).
