Late Production, FSS ASSYST Reset Procedure (Illustrated)

Reset Service Indicator

Preliminary Procedures:
- Close trunk lid or liftgate as well as engine hood and doors.








1. Turn key in ignition switch to Position 2.





2. Press the menu system selection buttons (-red arrows- located on the left-hand side of steering wheel) repeatedly to cycle through the various menus until the Trip Odometer/Main Odometer Menu, temperature, and time is displayed on the Multifunction Display.

3 - Navigation system menu
4 - Malfunction message memory menu
5 - Individual settings menu
6 - Trip computer menu
7 - Telephone menu









3. Press the sub-menu system selection arrow buttons (-red arrow- located on the steering wheel) repeatedly to cycle through the various sub-menus until the FSS (Flexible Service System) sub-menu is displayed on the Multifunction Display.

3 - FSS (Flexible Service System) sub-menu
4 - Engine oil level indicator sub-menu





4. To enter reset mode, press the trip-odometer/instrument cluster illumination dimmer button (-red arrow- located on the lower left hand side of instrument cluster) until the message "DO YOU WANT TO RESET SERVICE INTERVAL?" "CONFIRM RESET USING RESET BUTTON" or "Service interval To reset: Press reset button for 3 sec." displays on the Multifunction Display. Release the trip-odometer/intrument cluster illumination dimmer button when message appears.





5. To confirm reset, press the trip-odometer/instrument cluster illumination dimmer button (-red arrow- located on the lower left hand side of instrument cluster) until "SERVICE INTERVAL HAS BEEN RESET" displays on the Multifunction Display. Release the trip-odometer/instrument cluster illumination dimmer button.


6. Multi-function display will now return back to the FSS (Flexible Service System) sub-menu with a new mileage interval. Turn ignition key to position 0, release ignition key.

NOTE:
If new mileage does not appear after reset. Turn key to position 0, release key and return back to Step 1.

7. Re-insert ignition key, turn key to position 2 and recheck work.
